ART
SELA RICKETTS is a multimedia artist whose work explores how stories are told, retold, and ultimately reshaped by both the storyteller and the audience. She earned her MA in Southern Studies and MFA in Documentary Expression at the University of Mississippi’s Center for the Study of Southern Culture. Working primarily in documentary photography, she makes images that feel familiar to her audience, taking advantage of the limited amount of information given in a photograph to allow her audience to add their own version of the story.
